Oh wow I had no idea this was the case. In todays day and age with rapid communication via e-mail, texting and social media, it has become so common to simply type up 'Salaam' when beginning a conversation. Unfortunately I am guilt of the same. May Allah (swt) inshaAllah help guide us and fix our mistakes. Ameen.
